A Superior Competitive Experience

We organize over-the-board tournaments several times a year in Waco, TX, including our premier annual event, the Waco Scholastic Chess Championship. Participating in these events offers many benefits, including:

• An opportunity to see the sights of Waco, such as Magnolia, Waco Mammoth National Monument, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, Dr. Pepper Museum and Cameron Park Zoo.
• As we always offer several rating-based sections, you will play other players around your skill level.
• Our events are the prefect opportunity for you and/or your team to prepare for grander events, such as state and national championships.
• Our scholastic events are individual-team tournaments, and as a result, we issue team plaques to the members of high-scoring teams. Unlike many other organizers, we allow both schools and scholastic chess clubs to compete. Team scores are calculated on your team’s players throughout the whole tournament, not any one section.

We also organize online scholastic tournaments on a monthly basis. Significantly, these tournaments are not just high quality and efficient, but also are international, as we have obtained registrants from twenty-eight states and four foreign countries.
